What's New 2009!

Let’s start with the new and unusual Foosball Court! There are not many camps out there that have one. If you know how to play foosball then imagine you are a player and instead of being on a table you are playing in a cage on a foosball court. If you can’t imagine it- you’ll have to wait and see how much fun this game will be. This game is enjoyed by boys and girls alike and all ages.

The amphitheater where we have Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday night is being completely re-done. No more cracked benches or dangling legs. It will be beautiful to go along with the beauty of Shabbat and it will be comfortable at the same time.

The Agam also has a new look. There is no more hill! On rainy days the sand will not wash into Lucas Pond like past summers. Estelle is very excited for her new beach. Again, seeing is believing!

The libraries have a whole new look inside and out. They have been redone inside and painted. They are fresh and bright!

G9 finds itself with a new, expanded Mirpesset (front porch) for hanging out and storing your bathroom caddies.

Special Programs at Yavneh this Summer

We have Yoni Avital and his band Shuk coming to camp to play for us and do work shops during the first session. We also have a great carnival first session where Wally the Red Sox mascot will be making an appearance. We have a special photographc exhibit coming to camp for a week called “Hoopla”. You’ll have to wait to see it, words would not suffice.! Second session this summer includes… Water Country! We also have a group called Bible Rappers coming- they are awesome. The Court Jesters, a comedy basketball team will be showing up as well. In the realm of discussions AIPAC will be coming as well as the ADL.
