Annual Campaign

Our annual campaign supports our greatest immediate needs:

  • Robust programming including athletics, aquatics, dance, theatre, arts in our Omanut, music, and so much more.
  • Minor facility upgrades to the Agam (waterfront), bunks and community areas.
  • Critical tuition affordability programs that ensure a diverse camper population. We’re proud that we awarded more than $210,000 in aid last year to families otherwise unable to send their children to Yavneh.
  • Excellent staff focused on nurturing a love and curiosity of Judaism and passion for Israel.

Your donation helps support these amazing initiatives and programs.

Directed Scholarship Funds

More than 25% of our campers require a scholarship to attend our summer program. Your donation to the Scholarship Fund ensures our camper population will remain diverse so that children from a variety of backgrounds can experience the magic of Yavneh.

Na’aleh

Our Na’aleh Israel summer program is an exhilarating educational experience for our oldest campers. The program is cost prohibitive for some families that require financial aid to send their teens to this life changing program.

Derech Dov Pathway – A Meaningful way to Honor Someone at Yavneh

Brick on Derech Dov Pathway

In 2010, The Derech Dov Pathway was built in honor of our beloved teacher and spiritual leader of over 15 years, Rabbi Dov Lerea. This brick path provides a special way for our community to honor and/or remember loved ones and commemorate milestones. The path is in front of our new Beit Midrash, The Gottesman Community Center, and community flag pole garden. Placing a brick on Derech Dov Pathway is a permanent mark on Yavneh and costs $180 for a standard size and $360 for double sized brick.

Special Projects

We do our best to keep exceeding our camper’s expectations and each summer we consider adding new enrichment specialists, unique and fun equipment for campers, and creative programs and courses that will enhance the Yavneh Experience. Last year, we installed the outdoor Kanga-ruach jumper and this year we hope to continue installing more fun items at camp. Email or call melanie@campyavneh.org or 617-580-3465 if you are interested in hearing more about our upcoming special projects.

Inclusion through our Yedidut Program

Yavneh is proud to be an inclusive camp and we need support for this rapidly growing program that integrates campers with differing abilities into the full summer program.

Other programs include:

Ketsev: Yavneh’s traveling performance group visits local, elderly housing to bring energy and excitement to our friends in the community.

Zimriyah: Yavneh’s uniquely spirited, amazing song festival, is the highlight for our first session campers. Our campers cherish Zimriya.

Camp Theater: A different performance each year.

Kerem Play: Our Counselors in training perform for camp.

Maccabiah: Yavneh’s Color War is a five-day extravaganza that includes everything from sports to performances in the arts.

Specialists including Scholars in Residence and Artists in Residence: Every summer we have visiting scholars who teach and interact with our campers on a variety of subjects.
