We are kicking off our first Tzevet (Staff) Mini Session with Miriam Loren, Director of Camper Care. Click here to see a video from Miriam!
Miriam will be on Facebook Live this Thursday at 4 PM! In anticipation for her challah demonstration, Miriam so kindly shared her own challah recipe inspired by her grandmother, see below.
So if you plan on joining us, have your dough ready and start thinking about anyone who needs your best wishes and prayers for when you say the bracha for the challah.

Melt 1 stick margarine (or I prefer 1/2 c coconut oil butter flavored Nutiva is the brand I use) in microwave. Make cinnamon-sugar mixture (1 cup sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon and 1tsp vanilla. You need about one 1 T per ball.
Roll out ball with rolling pin on floured surface. When dough is flat, brush
on margarine in a strip down the middle and sprinkle one heaping teaspoon of cinnamon
sugar on top of margarine.
Fold one third dough toward middle, then roll up (so it looks like a churro)
Do this three times (3 balls of dough). Then take all 3 rolls and lay them overlapping each other in the middle of the rolls. Start in middle and braid up or down. Tuck in ends and braid other direction and tuck in end in other direction.
